Dancing Saddam All the Rage in Baghdad

Saddam news. One thing I continue to love to consider is the ultimate coup Bush pulled off by transferring power two days early to Iraq. And that sovreign nation is going to be the one to execute Saddam - at their discretion and AGAINST the will of the spineless, socialist, European Union leftists.

(Rush's brilliance...)
EIB Extra: Dancing Saddam All the Rage in Baghdad
RUSH: (Reuters) "Iraqis used to dance to his tune, but in Baghdad toy shops…" What? Toy shops? There are children's toy stores in Baghdad? I thought Baghdad was nothing but a hell hole. I thought the whole country was nothing but insurgencies. I thought it was nothing but terrorist bombs, roadside activity. You mean kids can go to the story and buy toys in Baghdad? (Gasping.) This is Reuters. It's a mistake. I mean, it's probably true. It's a mistake for them to have let this out. "Iraqis used to dance to Saddam's tune but in Baghdad toy shops (there's more than one toy shop!) a chubby, gun-toting Saddam Hussein doll now wiggles his hips to the tune of Hippie Hippie Shake."

...

I have to make an observation. That's a song in the English language from 40 years ago, and it's in a Saddam doll made in China, sold by a Turkish importer today. Now, folks, you know how to spell "victory."
(what the press isn't mentioning when it's discussing Saddam's fashion choices in court)
Rush Is Right: Partial List of Saddam's Crimes
(just part of the list...)
RUSH: Here is just a glance, ladies and gentlemen, at some of the major crimes "allegedly committed" during Saddam Hussein's rule.

• July 16, 1979: Shortly after Saddam seized power, fifteen top party leaders who allegedly conspired against him were executed by firing squad.

• 1980: Iraqi forces invade neighboring Iran on September 22nd, sparking eight years of war that left an estimated one million dead. Chemical attacks against Iran kill as many as 5,000.

• 1983: Government launches campaign against members of the Kurdish Barzani tribe for helping Iran launch offensive in northern Iraq. Estimated 8,000 killed, many buried in mass graves.

• 1986 through '88: Scorched-earth offensive known as Anfal that includes chemical attacks on Kurds, estimated 180,000 Kurds killed many buried in mass graves in the south.

• 1988: Chemical weapons attack against Kurdish town of Halabja, or Halabja kills an estimated 5,000 civilians on March 28 -- and this does not touch on those who lived and were disfigured and ruined for the rest of their lives.

• 1990: Saddam orders invasion of Kuwait on August 2nd.

• 1990: Iraqi forces fire Scud missiles at Israel and Saudi Arabia.

• 1990: Iraqi soldiers allegedly torture summarily execute hundreds of Kuwaitis and set Kuwaiti oil wells ablaze.
